General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Suggestive of sub-acute thyroiditis with iron deficiency anemia. Based on the lab report your mother seems to be suffering sub-acute thyroiditis. It is an acute inflammatory disease of the thyroid probably caused by a virus.

The low iron value and low transferrin saturation is indicative of iron deficiency anemia. Advised to consult her doctor for proper evaluation and treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
