What Could The Light Bleeding Be After An Unprotected Sex When On Plan B Pills?

I had unprotected sex dec 30 took the plan b 12 hrs later my periods are irregular suppose to of started last wkend but didnt. I also got put on birth control pills 2 wks ago. Yesterday evenin I started havin some bleedin between a light pink n red but only when i wipe. Could it be im gettin my period or implantation bleedin?

Thanks for the query.
As you have taken emergency contraceptive pill within 12 hours of the intercourse the possibility of pregnancy is less.
If you are using the regular contraceptive pills from first or second day of your menstrual cycle, that will give protection for this month.
Emergency pill can alter the menstrual cycle depending on the period of the cycle when you have taken the pill.
If you have taken the pill in the second half of the cycle, that may postpone the periods.
Repeated intake of emergency pill can lead to menstrual irregularities.
Regular contraceptive pills also can lead to side effects like delayed periods, amenorrhea, hypomenorrhea etc.
So, the symptoms you are having could be due to side effects of the pills.
The spotting may subside or turn into withdrawal bleeding.
And possibly your cycles will regularize soon.
