What Could Lump On The Area Of Fistula Indicate?

Hello, I had a fistula and had a seton put it, it s been 5 months and next week I have a surgery to remove if and put a plug to heal the fistula opening, my problem is that for the last 3 days, the area where the fistula is has hardened, it feels like a lum in that area, there is also a slight pain, iam worried if it s an infection, it s Friday night and I can t get hold of my doctor till Monday, please help. Should I seek emergency care

Hi,
Due to active infection in fistula you get pain due to collection of pus in sinuses.
Before you go for doctor's appointment on Monday, take analgesic like Ibuprofen for pain as and when required.
Apply antibiotic cream locally.
Ok and take care.
