What Could High Temperature With Mild Hematuria Suggest?

I have had irregular body temperatures (lowest 94 and highest 101.5) over the past week. It was discovered that I have mild hematuria and so I was put on an antibiotic two days ago, but now, I am vomiting and running a consistently higher temperature. Any ideas?

Hello,

If it is the febrile condition (Body temperature is more than 97.5 F) then it is an indication of infection, and most common is viral infection, here in your case if it is the history of hematuria, then it could be urinary tract infection and for right antibiotic and diagnosis urine need to be sent for culture sensitivity and routine test, even routine blood test also needs to be done just to rule out the bacterial or parasitic infection, febrile condition demands medical attention, and it can not be taken as granted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
