What Could Hard Ball Size Vaginal Discharge Indicate?

I lost a pregnancy at 8 weeks in beginning of september i used the vaginal bills and everything went fine i passed it about 4 hours later and l bled for a little over 4 weeks. everything was fine. ive had a period twice now this past tuesday being the second time i started. today at work i went to change my tampon and when i did a ball the size of a nickel came out right after. it felt really hard when it came out so i took it out of the toilet it was really hard. unlike anything i had ever passed before. it whiteish on the outdide but you can see its dark on the inside. it also has a strange tissue like thing that hangs off of it. my dr is in surgery and i cant speak to her until tomorrow but i am really worried.....

Hello,
If you have retained the passed piece, I would suggest that you store it to be shown to your consultant for further examination. If possible, you should store it in formalin solution or at least in distilled water. The possibility of retained products of conception should be kept in mind as well. Your history of prolonged bleeding after the abortion and the occurrence of frequent periods after that pose a doubt towards this happening. You can take a picture of it and upload on this site with a direct query to an expert. Hope this helps.
