Cardiologist 's  Response
HI There

After reading the medical details provided by you I would like to tell you that as smoking is one of the important cause of palpitations and you have stopped smoking so it's very good. Don not start smoking again.
Now you can wait for 3 or 4 days more as your palpitations could stop by themselves. But if not then I would like to start you on low dose Beta blockers like Metoprolol. It's advisable that you should consult your cardiologist personally to get a written prescription.

I wish you good health
