What Could Foul Smelled White Substance On Penis Indicate?

I have been noticing a white like substance on my penis, mostly when I masturbate and sometimes when I dont. It seems like a white fungus type thing that looks like rubber shavings when I rub against it, it also emits a slighlty foul smell. The tip of my penis towards the left side has also changed colour to a slight purple colour which remains constant. I have been aplying candid, a anti fungul cream for over two weeks but it doesn t seem to have stopped it completely. I noticed this after having sex with a girl, who might have given it to me. Please advise

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Patient,
Thank you very much for your question. If you are uncircumcised and you notice whitish substance on your glans penis , it is called as smegma. Smegma production is physiological and it acts as an lubricant, however, over accumulation of smegma can cause irritation of your glans penis. Smegma can cause a foul smell. Therefore, you have to wash it when you take a bath to maintain your hygiene. Apart from this, do you have some other symptoms or complaints such as frequent urination, pain or burning sensation during urination, itchiness, discharge from penis, fever , swollen lymph nodes etc. If you have those symptoms since you had a sexual contact prior to this, I recommend you to see your family physician. He or she will examine you and direct you for STD testing if necessary.
It is hard to make a diagnosis without examine a patient. Therefore, my advice is to contact your family physician and he or she will direct you for testing only if it is necessary. Otherwise, It can be smegma which has to be watched regularly and do not need any treatment. Also please stop applying any cream or medical ointments without your doctor's recommendation. It can cause allergy and even can worse your symptoms. I hope that I answered your question.
Good luck!
