What Could Extremely Itching Rashes With Bright Red Bumps On Body Indicate?
I have had a rash with bright red bumps that severely itch. I ve seen 6 doctors, had steroid shots and 2 strong doses of prednisone, blood work that tested positive for shingles but dermatologist said it wasn t that, and had a punch skin biopsy with no real results. I ve been gluten free as best as i can for 2 weeks but not the rash is severely itching again.
Hello, Thanks for the concern. You have rash on body with severe itching and your dermatologist had not given specific diagnosis so it seems that you have systemic infection which will cause such rash and itching. You have to test your blood ( complete blood count ) in which you watch for eosinophill count. You can also do Absolute Eosinophill count for more specification of infection. If eosinophill count is raised than you can take albendazole and DEC (diethylcarbamazine). So immediately consult the physician and do accordingly. Hope you might get help. Take care
