What Could Cause Sneeze And Watery Eye?

I have seen an ENT and had a sinus cat scan regarding a smell of chemical, gas that I keep smelling for 2 to 3 days then it goes away and comes back again.... my cat scan was normal....and my ent has not progressed further with the situation...another thing, I sneeze and my eyes water from the smell.................

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sneezing and watery eye which seems to be due to sinusitis. In your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to sinus infection also known as sinusitis. Need not to worry. Consult ENT specialist without any delay . Doctor may order blood test , X-ray , CT scan or throat swab test to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotic course like penicillin or amoxicillin , decongestant , antihistamine drug for cough and sneezing and mucolytic agent like ambroxol. I would suggest you to do warm saline rinses several times a day , take steam several times day and drink warm water with one spoon honey in it.
