What Could Cause Restricted Head Movement?

Hello, at the end of last week I woke unable to move my head. With my hands I had to lift my head from my pillow. I guessed a nerve was trapped and visited my GP that morning. He prescribed Ibuprofen, Co-Codomol and Diazepan. I took them for approximately 36 hours until nerve released. 5 days on and my neck is still stiff, my back aches I feel completely tense, every bone aches (went shopping with inconsiderate friend yesterday), However, 2 weeks ago my neck began to feel stiff and my breathing slightly difficult prior to this. My neck, I concluded, is the result of using the telephone at work incorrectly. I have rested and slept as much as I can and now avoiding demanding inconsiderate friends. Please, what can I do that does not involve taking medication?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a cervical spine related problem. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
