Hello,

Prolonged delay in periods can be due to various factors like Polycystic ovary syndrome, psychological stress, poor general health condition, anemia, hormonal imbalance, pregnancy (in case of unprotected intercourse), early menopause, etc. Your period should occur 3 to 7 days after taking Provera. If you do not have a period after you finish taking it, check with your doctor.

Get clinically examined, get blood tests, urinalysis, imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you symptoms so that it can be treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
