What Could Cause Paper And Rubber Like Vaginal Discharge After Taking Metronidazole, Doxycycline Hyclate And Suppositories?

Hey doctor how r u ? I went to visit gyenacologist and she told me i had infection in my v and then she gave me medicine like anti fungal and metronidazole and doxycycline hyclate and also gave me alright suppositories my anti biotic course is complete but not the suppository. Yesterday day i saw paper or rubber like white discharge in the opening of my v ... What is this i am very concerned as it necer happened before and my periods are about to start tomorrow or today

Hi,

The rubber like discharge you saw is mixture of dissolved vaginal suppositories and uterine sticky discharge in starting of periods, making rubbery or paper like consistency. The oral medications and local vaginal applications would cure your infection. You may need extended medication for few more days. For a complete freedom from the problem. Your sex partner also needs to be treated for possible infection he has and would restart the infection with sex even after relief after the present medication.
