What Could Cause Pain In Left Side Of Stomach After Removing Ovary?

I have a full hysterectomy last April, 2013. I kept my one ovary on my right side, although I still have pain on my left side. The left side has always given me pain, especially during my periods. It just really hurts, quite often. Why is this? There is no ovary there!
