What Could Cause Menstrual Pain?
It really hurts when i pee or poop during my period .. the pain is restricted to the first 3 days of my cycle ( i have a 7 day cycle ) and its really bad .. its come to the point that i avoid having a bowl movement in the first three days and then i get constipated... this is really complicating my life :( !

Pain during periods which is called dysmenorrhea can occur due to many causes. The possible causes of your problem are:
- Pelvic inflammatory disease
- Structural causes like fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, etc.
As the problem is severe better to get evaluated. Please consult your gynecologist once, get examined and undergo an ultrasound. With this work up the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be planned accordingly. Pelvic inflammatory disease can be treated with local and systemic antibiotics.
In case of structural causes, surgical intervention may be needed. Meanwhile you can take antispasmodics and laxatives during the menstrual periods which can give some symptomatic relief.
