What Could Cause Headache With Chest Pain And Blurred Vision?

My daughter age 20, had a bad headache, then blurred vision, then she's blacked out for about 5-10 minutes. When she woke up her speech was slurred a little. She also complained of chest pain. This has happened twice, about a week apart. Took her to ER both times they did EKG and CT. Everything from blood to urine was ok. CT showed nothing. EKG showed slightly low heart rate. Her family doctor got us an appointment with Cardiologist and Neuroligist, appoint. In two weeks. What could this possibly be? Is it serious? Life threatening?

Neurologist 's  Response

Hello!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

Your daughter symptoms could be related to epilepsy seizures or a cardiac arrhythmia. Orthostatic hypotension can not be excluded either.
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam, an EEG and a brain MRI study.
Some cardiac tests are also necessary: a cardiac ultrasound and an ECG Holter monitoring to investigate for cardiac arrhythmia.
A head Up Tilt test may be necessary if suspicions of orthostatic hypotension are raised.
Hope you will find this information helpful!
Best regards!
