three months ago I got a very sudden burning sensation on my upper lip. It lasted a couple days, and then my lip went numb... There are no blisters or redness or swelling... You can't really see anything..The numbness feel like I put tape over my lip... Like a reduciton in sensation. After a couple weeks of the numbness, the lip drys and peels. After peeling I feel fine for a couple weeks.. Thought it was gone. Then the sudden burning for two days, the following numbness, the peeling and it starts over again... It's become a cycle. I'm now on cycle four!! what could this be? I'm 52. 188 lbs. Take meds for thyroid. Otherwise healthy. Have had uterus and cervix removed. Still have ovaries.
