What Could Cause A Prolonged Loose Motions In An Infant?

my son is 16 months old. he had loose motions from 8th month to till now for three times. he was admitted and treated. blood, urine, stool was checked but nothing was found.also ultra sound scan was done and nothing was found. his normal stool contains green matter sometimes.sometimes watery etc. during stool testing we used to find undigested matter.doctor said that the loose motion might be due to lactose intolerance.another doctor said it might be due to deficiency in digestive enzymes.the baby is feeded with breast milk, nestum, soft rice.only normal food is given.sir, can u explain the cause.is deficiency of digestive enzymes the poblem?

Hi
Welcome to healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
I would suggest you to try using gluten free and lactose free for sometime which may be beneficial.
In the event of baby gaining normal weight, there seems to be no cause for concern.

Take Care

Best Regards
Dr Deepak
