What Could Be The Reason For Pus Patches On The Throat And Abdominal Pain After Taking Klacid Clarithromycin?

Hello.. My daughter is 4 year old and she has pus patches on her throat she has a fever 38.4 but she has no running nose and no cough.i consult to the doctor and she gave her klacid clarithromycin.after how many days this medication effets.after giving this medicine she complain that she has a abdominal pain.why she has abdominal pain...can I consult to the doctor again..im worried...

Children can develop abdominal pain after episodes of tonsilitis (mesenteric adenitis- when lymph glands near the intestines get inflammed) this can cause abdominal pain. If she is having persistent high fever, severe abdominal pain making her not able to walk better get her checked by your doctor to ruleout other causes of abdominal pain.
Clarithromycin can cause abdominal pain and tummy upset. If she develops profuse diarrhoea with abdominal pain, it is better to switch to a different antibiotics after seeking doctor's advice.
