What Could Be The Reason For High Heart Rates?

My teenager,15, spent several hours in ballet this evening and when she came home said she wasn't having difficulty breathing but her heartrate is 105-115 beats per minute. She only has asthma problems seasonally, usually in the month of October. We gave her a breathing trreatment about 1 hour ago, using zopenex and nebulizerny . I thought maybe she didn't realize her heart was beating hard because she was working hard to breathe. Any idea? I' afraid for her to go to bed with such a high heart rate.

Hi,

Heart rate transiently get elevated after physical exertion and after exercises. It is a normal phenomenon and it will return to normal after sometime. If she is experiencing the same symptoms again, consult a cardiologist and get an ECG for reassurance.
