What Could Be The Reason For Having Sharp Pains And Breathlessness ?

Sometimes I get sudden sharp pains on the left side of my chest below the breast bone causing me to take short quick breaths and it is hard to breathe. I also get dizzy, lightheaded, and "see stars" at different times and randomly have tingling in my hands and feet like they "fell asleep". This has been happening for years and I've had heart problems before. (palpitations, bradycardia d/t an eating disorder, and prolonged qt interval results on an EKG.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi
I read your query and understood your concern.

From what you are saying, this may be related to cardiac arrhythmia. So i recommend to consult a cardiologist for further exams and proper treatment.

If i was your treating doctor i would like to suggest the following exams:
- ECG
- ECHO
- Holtert monitoring and
- Stress test.

Based on the results of the exams i would suggest to you the proper treatment.

Hope i answered to your query.
