What Could Be The Reason For Having A Burning Pain Between Tibia And Fibula?

I was looking at the branches of the sciatic nerve, specificially those that travel between the tibia and fibula. I have a stinging, burning pain in that area if I try to kneel on my right knee. What could cause this? It began about mid-January, no worse, no better. I m waiting for results of x-rays of my knee, but don t think my knee is the problem!
