What Could Be The Reason For Having A Blue Bump On My Forearm?

My boyfriend has had a 1.5 centimeter blue bump on his forearm for as long as he can remember. He also has a flat small blue mark on his hip. Today he noticed a new blue bump forming on his wrist. I have read before that these were blue nevi, but the re occurrence has me worrying... What s going on?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, your boyfriend is probably having either Lipoma or sebaceous cyst. My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Only curative treatment is excision under local anesthesia done by a dermato-surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
