What Could Be The Pink Flesh Coming Out From The Vagina With Back Pain After Inserting Iud?
Hi, I am an 18 year old female. I recently had an I.U.D placed in and it caused me horrible pain for 12 days, like excruciating pain so I had it removed. Now I have pain on both sides of my spine. I also had this flesh like stuff(pink in color) come out of my vagina i was like 3 inch long and a cm or 2 wide. What could this be?

Hi,
Yes, IUCD may not be tolerated by some women, that too in teenage due to pin point cervical os, more possibility of infections etc. The possible causes of pink stuff you mentioned are:
- Endometrial tissue came out after removal of IUCD.
- Vaginal tissue mixed with mucoid discharge due to any possible mild injury during removal.
- Rarely cervical mucoid polyp protruding through the vagina.
If the pain persists, better to consult your gynecologist once and get examined. By direct examination only, the possible cause of your problem can be identified. Pain due to infection can be treated by local and systemic antibiotics. Meanwhile you can take some analgesic and anti inflammatory drugs to decrease the pain.
