What Could Be Causing Nausea And Runny Nose After Eating?

This happens quite often: As I eat my nose begins to run. In no time I feel nauseous and have to go throw up. Most of the time what I throw up is thick and cloudy or white and bubbly. Some days this happens every meal and sometimes it may skip many days. I m loosing weight which I did not have to loose. What kind of problem is this? I don t know what kind of doctor to go to.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the nausea, vomiting after meals may be in concern with
- GERD
- Hiatus hernia
- Excess cholesterol
- Gastroparesis as diabetes or others
- Narrowing of esophagus or gastro esophageal junction
- Others

The clinical assessment with chest X-ray, indirect laryngoscopy and upper GI endoscopy are best initiatives for the path of diagnosis and care accordingly. In my clinic, after thorough clinical examion with speculum in.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
