What Could Arthritis With Bruised Muscles Suggest?

Hi, I have lupus and a muscle form of athritus....on Tuesday I had a table dropped down my ankle....yep it hurt ;o) I went to hospital and had an xray...I was told it wasn't broken, just tissue and muscle damage. Since then it has bruised and is swollen, but it is also numb? Is this noraml, or do you think its is more to do with my other medical conditions? Thanks Rebecca x

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello Rebecca,
I have studied your case and I think that it is not related to your underline condition for sure. It is because of this injury only. I would recommend you to follow these steps.
1.Ice application
2.Tablet Brufen 400 mg BD twice daily.
3.Volitran ointment'
4.Compression bandage
I hope these steps will help you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
