What Causes Yellow Fluid Discharge And Itchiness In Buttocks?

hi my wifes buttox is swollen and we seem to think she was bitten by either a deer fly or a horse fly now some of the swelling has gone down and it is draining on its own but my question is should i be worried thats theres yellow fluid draining from the bite it is itchy and red around the bite and as i said swollen

Hi,

That draining yellow fluid is infectious fluid coming out and redness and swelling is due to inflammation due to bite. Don't worry it is in healing process. Apply good antiseptic cream like povidone at site of bite. Take anti-inflammatory tablet Aceclofenac and antibiotic like Amoxicillin for 5 days. Since these are prescriptions i suggest you to work with your primary care doctor to achieve these.
