What Causes Yellow And Brown Vaginal Discharge After Intercourse?
hello, I have a mirena inserted in me as a form of birth control. I had sex with a guy who came than put his penis back in. this was Saturday. on sunday I had a very yellow discharge than today tuseday I found a lot of brown discharge on my panties than I started to have cramps and now I noticed pink blood with red blotches on it. Am I going to get pregnant?

Intra-uterine contraceptive devices (IUCD) are associated with certain side effects like excessive menstrual flow, lower abdominal pain, menstrual irregularities etc.
Infections are also common with IUCDs.
Yellow colored vaginal discharge suggests infection, however, infection can be due to IUCD or even due to sexually transmitted disease (STD).
Possibility of STD is more if you are practicing unprotected sex.
Brown discharge followed by pink blood on panty can be due to onset of menstruation.
Pregnancy is characterized by absence of menstruation thus pregnancy is not likely.
However, if the yellow colored discharge is still persistent, you need to get the discharge examined to look for possibility of infection.
