What Causes White Spots On The Vocal Cords?
I ve had laryngitis for 3 months and just saw an ENT. I was told I have white spots on both sides of my vocal cords and need additional tests and possible biopsies. What are the risks for the biopsies? Is there any other way to tell if the spots are cancerous?

By what you say the possibilities are nodules on the vocal cords or it could be a human papillomavirus infection and nodules because of that. It could be viral warts or it could be laryngeal papillomatosis or laryngeal carcinoma. The Other possibility is a fungal infection of the vocal cords.
You will definitely require a biopsy and further evaluation and management, please.
