Hi I have been playing soccer for years. Every so often, especially towards the end of games I get a feeling of a bubble moving up and down my calve muscles. Its doesn t feel like cramp but if I kept going with the feeling it would turn to cramp. I have said It to many physios/doctors before but they say they ve never heard of it.

Thanks for placing your query on healthcare magic. BUBBLE type motion in your calf as you are mentioning is not a big problem. when we play soccer lot of lactic acid gets deposited there because of lack of ATP in muscles. start with quadriceps strengthning and calf muscle strengthening exercise. This is normal physiological phenomena. Nothing to worry about, have a high protein and carbohydrate diet, Take good amount of glucose in diet . Do hot water fomentation of calf and topical gel sos. take care. Get well soon.
