Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of gastrointestinal colic or IBS. Gastrointestinal colic is commonly triggered by spicy, oily food. Food containing higher fat and fiber content can also cause discomfort. Take simple home made food with less oil and spices. Take boiled food. Take food and protein that is well cooked in small amounts, multiple times a day.

After food take rest so that the food gets well digested, You can take Aristozyme tonic and Antacids to help food get digested. Probiotics help to restore normal colonic flora. You are suggested to get clinically examined for IBS, get lactose intolerance test and stool test (C/S and R/E) done, you may need a course of antibiotics. Sporlac powder, lactobacillus is effective. Avoid food that irritates your bowel like gluten, food producing gas, FODMAPs, etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
