What Causes Vomiting With Elevated Liver Enzymes And Varices?

Hi. My boyfriend had a violent fit of vomiting last night for about an hour. He has had elevated liver enzymes and also varices. he did drink saturday night and also took cold medicine but didn t get sick until Monday afternoon. Are the two things related? He also is very foggy about Saturday, Sunday and Monday
