What Causes Vomiting Up Of Blood On Gargling With Salt Water?
I am a singer and my voice is becoming very weak. I read that gargling with salty water might help in recovering my voice. So I gargled today with warm salty water and I spit blood although I had no pain or soreness in my throat. Is there something wrong with my throat?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....
As per your complain weakening or reduced pitch in voice of singers can be due to over stressing or overuse of vocal cords or there can also be formation of nodules or tumours on vocal cords.. Spitting up of blood can be can be from upper respiratory tract, sinuses and throat, it can also be from gums if there is gum infection. The confirmation can be done by visiting an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do clinical evaluation and investigations like laryngoscopy, upper G.I endoscopy or MRI of sinuses etc as per suspected cause to rule out the exact cause of blood in spit and treatment can be planned accordingly..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
