What Causes Vomiting Of Green Bile?

My daughter had an appendectomy yesterday morning at 7 am. Orignally the plan was to discharge her the same day. The surgeon indicated she need to eat tow meals. She was not responding to the pain medication Narco and was being given morphine in 4 hour spans which then became two hour spans as the day progressed. She stayed ovenight. As the day progressed today, she began to vomit later in the afternoon. They want to discharge her although she is vomiting and it s green. The surgeon is indicating he will provide naseau medication and that she should still be discharged. No labs have been performed. I don t understand why she would be discharged if she is vomiting green bile? What should I do?

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM .
Read and reviewed your query and health concerns.
IN the given situation, You seems to suffer from-Post-appendectomy Ileus with retrograde peristalsis with green bilious vomiting.
Ideally she should have been observed with Iv supplementation to stabilize intestinal movement and could take another 1-2 days.
The ileus from early meals post-appendectomy, has worsened the general condition of the daughter.
You should press for continuing Iv fluids till gases pass and paralytic ileus- recovers by Nil by Mouth, with antibiotics in next 1-2 days.

Hope this would help you to plan further of this complex illness of yours.
