What Causes Veiny Lines And Mucus In The Back Of My Throat?
I have red veiny lines in the back of my throat and some white mucus along the back of my throat. About 3 days ago I had a very high fever and a headache too but yesterday they both went away and my throat hurting when I swallow is all that remains. I was wondering if I was about to clear up or if I have strep and need to get antibiotics?

The symptoms seem to be related to tonsillitis.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the fever.
I also suggest using a spray throat for local application.
If the symptoms continue, I suggest to take antibiotics such as Augmentin twice a day for a week.
