Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through query. Using tampons won t be comfortable every time. If there is less lubrication then there can be irritation due to friction. In that case avoid tampons and use normal pads. Yeast infections on vagina also can cause sudden increased irritation in those who are using tampons regularly with out problems. In that case avoid tampons temporarily and use anti fungal creams like Miconazole (Monistat). After 1 week of treatment with anti fungal agents you can continue using tampons next time. If still there is irritation or pain then get a pelvic examination by Gynecologist to rule out other problems. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
