What Causes Vaginal Dryness After Decreasing The Dosage Of Estradiol?
I have been on estradiol .5 mg for several years following a hysterectomy. Recently my doctor suggested I cut it in half so I have doing that for about 2 weeks and I have not had hot flashes or sweats but I am very uncomfortable with dryness. Is this a side effect of taking less and what over the counter meds might help? Thanks for your time.

Hi dear!
Vaginal dryness while you use half dose of estardiol is due to decrease of blood estradiol.
For vaginal dryness you can try with moisturizers and lubricants .
If both of them doesn't help than you should talk with your follow up doctor.
