What Causes Vaginal Bleeding While On YAZ Birth Control?

I was on YAZ birthcontrol for about 3 yrs... then when my insurance changed they put me on the off brand of YAZ. I ended up gaining weight and it made my face breakout really bad... so I switched to Seasonique. Half way through being on the Seasonique I started bleeding and it lasted for 3 weeks. So I was put back on the original name brand YAZ. After being back on the YAZ for about a week the bleeding stopped. I stopped bleeding for about a week, week and a half. Now I started bleeding again and I have been bleeding for 2 days. What can be causing this...???

Hello,

The breakthrough bleeding is expected while you are switching around birth control pills. It will subside once your body get used to YAZ.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
