What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Inspite Of Using Silver Nitrate And Dalacin?
I am 36 had a colposcopy yesterday. My cervix bleeds easily and I once tested HPV positive from PAP. The dr did NOT do a biopsy but did use silver nitrate to stop bleeding. Since the test, I have still been bleeding. He also perscribed Dalacin Vaginal Ovules. I am wondering why I am still bleeding if I was carterized, why I need antibiotics if I did not have any infection and if I am bleeding, should I still be inserting the antibiotics?
* As per my clinical experience, the Dalacin cream contains clindamycin as a topical anti bacterial agent.
* The vaginal bleed is in concern with possible bacterial or fungal infection of vagina or cervix.
My guidelines for the same to recover faster
- sitz bath with lukewarm water added epsom salt
- plenty of liquids to avoid secondary bacterial infection
- antiseptic soap or liquid wash of genitals before using silver nitrate
- avoid sexual activities at present till recovery
- control of blood sugar
- avoid prolong use of same tampons
- prescription of anti inflammatory , anti fungal, anti bacterial medicines to support faster recovery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
