What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Apart From Menstruation?

I had my period over a week ago now I have noticed every time I use the bathroom and wipe there is blood at first it was just light pink and barely a small amount and now it s more darker and more noticeable it s covers the whole tissue when I wipe what could it be

If you have always had regular menstrual periods and never had any bleeding issues, then, your present problem definitely is cause for concern. You need to see a specialist for a thorough evaluation. Local causes like erosions of the cervix, infections of the vagina and the cervix, polyps of the uterus and cervix and pelvic inflammations can lead to such bleeding tendencies. Apart from these, general infections, weight disturbances, hormone imbalances and certain medications can cause similar symptoms. Hope this helps.
