What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?
After intercourse a week ago I had some bright bleeding,I am nearly 60yrs old,I don t have a discharge,but my doc did a smear & I m having an ultrasound on pelvis this morning as she found blood pooling around my cervix,just curious as to what it may be a symptom of?

I appreciate your concern. Vaginal bleeding during or after intercourse in old age women would be due to carcinoma of cervix. It is the most common cause for the same. Other causes include uterine fibroids and uterine carcinoma. Your doctor is doing appropriate testing and you should wait for the results.
