What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Insertion Of Copper T?
Doc my wife 2weeks before gone throug the copper t,next day too much blood was coming n it started for four days. Now blood is stopped but pus n blood is coming in small qty, can u tell me is that happing to every one who is going through this process n how long it will take to go forever. Regards A Husband

Hi,
There can be moderate bleeding for 2 days at the most in few cases. Normally bleeding is not trouble sum. Excess bleeding can occur, if copper T was inserted in mid period or after MTP where products of conception still there in uterus, patient already had infection in vagina or in rare cases there can be improper placement of copper T. If there is excessive bleeding even after 2 days of insertion or in case there is pain and cramping, in case she gets fever. Please take her to her gynecologist for check up, USG scan if needful followed by needful treatment.
