What Causes Urge To Urinate Often?

My L5-S1 Disc is herniated and at the same time the pain began to worsen from the pressure on the nerve my menstrual cycle is COMPLETELY off. I have had my period or some spotting every day for the past 2.5 months. I have severe sciatic nerve pain and pretty intense sacral nerve pain. I do experience issues with the "signals" that I need to urinate, but have never lost control of my bladder. Could there be a way one of these is affecting the other, the herniation/nerve issues/menstrual problems?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected Madam, hi evaluated your query. regarding menstrual problems its likely to be hormonal imbalance due to vivid reasons. definately L5-S1 disc herniation is going to effect excess urination symptoms through neurological effects,If Diabetes is ruled out, you have to undergo certain exercises for the back as advised by the neurosurgeon or neurophysician. I would recommend Tab Roliten (4)mg mor and evening for 10-15 days midnimally. As this is prescribed medicine certain specific molecules as per urologist to help to major extent for irritable bladder dear thanks regards
