Hello,
Unusual intermittent
menstruation commonly occurs due to hormonal imbalances, side effects of
contraceptive pills /
Implanon etc., PCOS, PMS, fibroids, anemia, poor general health, stressful lifestyle, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist. If it is due to hormonal imbalance your gynae can recommend better contraceptive method or give HRT.
If it is because of PID, PCOS, fibroids, etc., you will be treated accordingly. Get all blood workouts,
urinalysis and imaging tests done. In the meantime, to improve anemia and your general health you should take
iron supplements and food rich in minerals and high in protein. Avoid stressful lifestyle and addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
