What Causes Underactive Thyroid?

Diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 8 years ago was taking 125mg Levothyroxin daily. After recent annual check up found to have gone overactive now taking 100 mg 4 days a week and 75mg Levo 3 days a week. For past 6 months have developed nosebleeds, just a trickle every now and then from right nostril, could this be connected to my thyroid going over active?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

You was diagnosed as hypothyroidism and given levothyroxine for that in high dose 125 ug .....

So over treatment of hypothyroidism leads you in hyperthyroidism state ....

So let me know you dose of levothyroxine should be adjusted according to TSH level ....
You have not mentioned your reports ...

If you post your thyroid profile report than further comment can be given .....

For nose bleed cause might be hypertension or rhinitis like condition...
Excess heat exposure can even lead it ...
Rhinoscopy nose examination has to be done ....

Take care
.....

Hope your concern solved. ..
