What Causes Tonsillitis Along With Throat Pain?

Hi, I've had tonsillitis recently and it cleared up after a course of penecilling but one week later my throat started really hurting, it hurts to even stick my tongue out. I looked down my throat to see a large black lump on one side and the rest of my tonsils have yellow spots. I'm really concerned about the large black lump. I've also been really tired. Please could you give me some advice?

I have gone through your query and i can understand your concerns.
As per your symptoms it seems that you have developed some sequele of acute tonsilitis.It would be a tonsilar abscess or tonsilolith(small stones in the tonsil).Sometimes undigested food particle may get adhered to surface of the crypts of tonsils cause black lump over tonsil.
It needs early evaluation and timely treatment to avoid unwanted complications.
Please don't worry,Consult your ENT surgeon and get the following done:
1.Another course of antibiotics other than you had earlier.
2.A detailed throat examination and swab is taken from the tonsil and sent for biopsy.
3.Do gargling with warm salt water 2-3 times a day, it will also help reduce the swelling and infection.
4.You can very well take analgesics like ibuprofen or paracetamol for pain and fever.
If the symptoms persist despite all these,It is better to remove the tonsil.
