What Causes Tightness Of Chest And Fever While On Albuterol?

Running a low grade fever. 99.9. Have had some asthma symtoms tight chest and have been doing breathing treatment with albuterol . This all started out with strep throat. Was give amoxicilin for it. And now cough constantly, it is dry and comes from the lungs. Nothing is coming up when cough and can not stop coughing for last 24 hours.

Hi welcome to HCM...

Asthma history has to be ruled out as you have mentioned asthma in history ....

Investigation needed with......
1.Physical examination
2.Spirometry
3.X ray if needed
4.Auscultation
5.CBC to look for eosinophilia

If bronchoconstriction present than bronchodilator as nebulization or inhaler given...
Allegra M also can be given as 15 days course ...

Depending on examination further treatment taken...
For dry cough dextromethorphan given

Take one tsp turmeric powder in milk daily

Advise : Consult pulmonologist for examination first and than further work up .
Don't try self medication....
