You thought of pin-worms and hence took medicines, eating pumpkin seeds, yogurt and drinking coffee. No pin worms were seen and no relief too. To clear your doubts: Pin worms cause itching and pain on the peri-anal skin and only at night, never in a day, hence this is not a pin worm infestation. The most probable cause can be procto-colitis. This can be diagnosed by the following: Stool tests for three consecutive days. Ano-proctoscopy by a General Surgeon followed by colonoscopy. Ultrasonography of the whole abdomen including for the Uterus. This will give the proper diagnosis and a plan for proper treatment. Make a list of the foods and beverages that cause the problem and stop consuming these.
