What Causes Symptoms Of Diarrhea, Fatigue, And Food Aversion Post A Menstrual Cycle?

My wife is showing symptoms of pregnancy (nausea morning and night, diarrhea, fatigue, food aversions etc) however has said ahe got her period (unsure of details) and took a home test when symptoms persisted and qas negative... my questions are, 1) could she be pregnant even after having a period? 2) could she be pregnant if the home test said negative? 3) id there a more accurate test to find out for sure? And 4) if she is not pregnant, what could be causing these symptoms? Im very worried about her especiay if she is not pregnant...

Hello,

Since she got her period as expected with negative pregnancy test results, pregnancy is unlikely.
Her symptoms could be due to viral gastroenteritis. It will subside by itself in a few days. Meanwhile, stay hydrated. Follow mild diet like banana, apple, rice and toast until diarrhea subsides. She can also take loperamide to control diarrhea if needed.
