What Causes Symptoms Of ADHD After Taking Valparin?

Hi, my son 7 yrs old and is taking valparin chrono 200. Now a days we are observing that he is not paying attention to his studies. Later on I observed that he has all the symptoms of ADHD. Is it because of the side effects of valparin? Please suggest me treatment,if there e any. He is studying in 1st std.

Hi, Thanks for asking. ADHD is not a known side effect of Valparin. It may be possible that he may have co-existing ADHD along with epilepsy. You may consult a developmental paediatrician for a formal diagnosis and if required prescription of the medications.
