What Causes Swollen Thigh Post Spider Bite?

I got bite by a spider left upper thigh on October 2, 2014. I am still on meds. I had I & D done. The area that was effected was the lymph node area. My thigh is still swollen. It is painful to walk. I have bad headaches. My leg feels very heavy when walking. A couple time, I felt like I was going to pass out. I get hot, sweating, mouth watery and difficult walking. DO My Lymph Node need to be removed?

Hi

The symptoms you have developed are suggestive of a generalised body involvement by an allergic reaction or an infection .
Although you must be on follow ups with your doctor,it is quite essential that you take proper treatment.
You might need to be managed by antihistamines or antibiotics.
Whether the lymph node needs to be removed or not can be decided only after assessing the status of the lymph node by ultrasound or ct scan .
